There are two popular resources that can be used to protect the resources on any network and they include Pihole and Adguard Home and I can setup either one, but I would only suggest that Pihole has a much larger community so it might be easier to get support if is ever needed. Each box is setup to order and the box that I use may not always be the same unit, but they all will have at least 1Gb of memory and 8Gb of storage. The box will also be setup so that it should be mostly plug and play. All that should be required is to connect it to the network via Ethernet and then power it on. The box should then be accessible from a webpage so if you want to monitor it or make changes to the setup. All I will need to know is what you network address is so I can setup the box to communicate on your network without making all kinds of changes to the setup when you should have to.

These boxes have about the same processing power as a Raspberry Pi 4 or similar devices, but the are self contained and don't require any extra components like heatsinks, cases or micro SD cards to make a working unit.
The box is just repurposed for us a network protection device and doesn't require any external media like a microsd card or flash drive to boot from as it has internal emmc storage that is utilized instead and it performs much better from emmc.
